SAINTS USE LAST MINUTE COMEBACK TO DEFEAT CANES 92-91
Truitt's Drops 43 Points in Loss for GSW
Americus, Ga. - Down by eight points with a minute and a half left in the ball games, North Georgia College & State University rallied back to defeat Georgia Southwestern State University 92-91 Thursday night.
The Canes had a 53-50 lead heading into the second half in large part to Dontae Truitt . Truitt scored 43 points for GSW after going 17-25 from the field and 3-5 from behind the arc. His effort was not enough though, and the Saints were able to rally in the final minute to get the win.
Four North Georgia players scored in double figures with sophomore guard Matt Causey (Gainesville, Ga.) leading the Saints with 25 points. Senior wing Bryce Brickhouse (Norcross, Ga.) scored 17 and was one rebound short of his first double-double this season.
North Georgia will be back in action Saturday as they face Auburn University Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. cst in Montgomery.
