Kelly Powe begins her first year as an assistant softball coach under Mike Davenport at North Georgia College & State University. Powe will oversee the everyday operations of the softball program, as well as assist with the responsibilities of the pitching staff.
Prior to joining the staff at NGCSU, Powe pitched for the now Division I Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles. Through her junior and senior seasons she compiled a two-year record of 50 wins and 15 losses with over 400 strikeouts, 26 shutouts and an ERA of 1.00.
A native of Naples, Florida, Powe also won a state championship with the Naples High School Golden Eagles in 2001.
Powe graduated Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. During the summer of 2006 she moved to the North Georgia Mountains for a change of scenery and hopes to continue her education in Physical Therapy at NGCSU. |
