Diego Vacca begins his third season as the men's soccer assistant coach for North Georgia. Vacca, a native of Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia, graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2004 with a degree in Sports Management and Business Administration. He recently finished his Master's Degree in Physical Education in 2007.

A four-year letterman with the SWU Warriors, Vacca was named to the NAIA All-Region team his senior year as well as NCCAA All-American and SSAC First Team All-Conference. In 2003, he was named to the NCCAA All-Region Team, GACC First Team, and helped lead SWU to the conference championship in 2003. In 2002 and 2003 he played with the Greenville Lions in the Professional Development League (PDL). This past season, he played with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the PDL.

He earned his USSF D License this past summer.
