CHRIS CURTIS NAMED PBC PITCHER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME
Junior allows just two hits in win over Georgia Southwestern

AUGUSTA, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University junior righthander Chris Curtis was awarded the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Curtis takes home the weekly award for second time in three weeks after another stellar outing. The junior pitched a complete-game (nine-inning) two-hitter in a 4-1 victory over Georgia Southwestern State University. He allowed one earned run to score in the first inning, but that would be all Georgia Southwestern would get as Curtis allowed only one other baserunner to reach for the rest of the contest, striking out five.

Currently, Curtis leads the Peach Belt in innings pitched and is sixth in the conference in earned run average.
