SAINTS BASEBALL RANKED FOURTH IN NATION

Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University continues to climb up the polls in the NAIA Baseball ratings. This week, the Saints cracked the top five in the nation and are ranked fourth overall.

North Georgia swept two games last week over NCAA Division II opponents Presbyterian College and Lander University. The 9-6 win over the Bearcats on May 3 gave fans a preview of next season when the Saints will join Lander in the Peach Belt Conference as members of the NCAA.

The top three in the nation remained the same this week with Lewis-Clark State taking 16 first place votes over the second ranked team Houston Baptist. Embry-Riddle also held its third place ranking with 551 points.

Formally fourth ranked Oklahoma City fell to 11th in the nation after 2-2 last week. Lyon University and Jamestown fell out of the poll this week, making way for Culver-Stockton and Flagler College to jump in at the 21st and 23rd spots respectively.
