SAINTS RANKED 22ND IN LATEST NAIA POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. – Riding a seven game winning streak and moving into second place in the Southern States Athletic Conference, North Georgia College & State University baseball jumped back into the NAIA National Rankings this week at #22.
The Saints are currently 35-10 overall and 16-8 in the SSAC. North Georgia is four games out of first place behind Lee University who is 32-9 and 20-4 in the conference. The Flames remained ranked seventh in the NAIA for the second consecutive week.
Tennessee Wesleyan took a hard fall this week, falling out of the rankings after receiving only 13 votes and dropping from eighth in the nation with 350 votes. Cumberland University remained the number one team in the nation, but Embry-Riddle moved up one spot to second place and is only four first place votes below CU.
Coming off of a sweep of the University of Huntsville-Alabama, the Saints will play a three game series this weekend against conference rival Brewton-Parker College starting tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.
