Designated Annual Gifts

Donors may wish to designate their annual gifts for certain general purposes. The following designations are regularly requested:

Academic Scholarships

These designated funds support a broad range of student scholarships, giving educators and financial aid staff the flexibility to address scholarship needs not adequately provided for by HOPE scholarships or restricted scholarship funds (.pdf).

Athletic Scholarships

These designated funds provide scholarships for student-athletes, to supplement those provided by the NGCSU Saints Club and to provide support for teams not adequately supported by restricted scholarship funds (.pdf).

Corps Enhancement

These designated funds support recruitment, retention and training of cadets in the Boar's Head Brigade, NGCSU's Corps of Cadets, maintaining the tradition of excellence in military training that began in 1873. NGCSU - "The Military College of Georgia"

Leadership Initiative

These designated funds support leadership training at NGCSU, in keeping with our unique mission and the special program initiatives begun by President Nathaniel Hansford. NGCSU - "Forging A Legacy of Leadership"

Equipment Match Fund

These designated funds are used to match other state and private grants to provide the latest teaching, learning and information technology. Maintaining currency in technology is required for first-class higher education institutions.
