Interlibrary Loan
What is Interlibrary Loan? Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is the service used to request materials that are not available in our collection. Before you place a request, use the
Find Books page or
Find Articles page to see if your materials are available at the NGCSU library.
What materials can be requested? Articles, books, theses and dissertations, and microfilm.
Who is eligible for Interlibrary Loan? Currently enrolled students at NGCSU and currently employed NGCSU faculty and staff.
How do I submit a request? Login to the Interlibrary Loan Request form.
An NGCSU Novell username and password are required. If you do not know your Novell username and password you can obtain it from the IIT Help Desk at 706-864-1922.
You will be asked to submit your contact information and details from the citation for each requested item.
Is there a charge? There is usually no charge to you for ILL requests. If there is a fee, you will be notified before the request is placed.
How long does it take? Delivery times vary. Articles usually arrive within 7 days and books usually arrive within 10 days. When your item is available, you will be notified through your NGCSU email account.
How long can I keep materials? Can they be renewed? Lending libraries determine borrowing policies such as length of loan (usually
3-4 weeks) and conditions of use. It may be possible to renew materials. Renewals should be requested online at least one day prior to the due date.
