This program involves the study of advanced assessment and curriculum for diverse learners. Optional international school visits will be provided as a base of comparison between the best practices in Georgia and those in another country.
This masters program will be a blend of seminars and on-line learning in a schedule responsive to the needs of busy teachers in area elementary schools. Instruction will be provided by School of Education faculty and exemplary public school teachers to create the proper balance between the theoretical and practical challenges of teaching in today's diverse classrooms.
This program will consist of 30 semester hours. The program begins in January 2008, with program completion scheduled for June 2009. Included in the course work will be the opportunity to earn a teaching endorsement in ESOL, Gifted, or Reading.
All applicants must hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate. Applications are due by January 15, 2008; admissions decisions will be made within 3 weeks of receipt of the application.
