1999 National Teacher of the Year	Andy Baumgartner, a kindergarten teacher and graduate of NGCSU, was recognized by President Clinton.
2001 Georgia Teacher of the Year	Mary Eager, a mathematics teacher and graduate of NGCSU, was recognized by President George W. Bush.
2003 Presidential Award in Mathematics and Science Teaching	Heather Marshall, an 8th grade algebra teacher and graduate of NGSCU, was recognized by the White House and the National Science Foundation.
