Jere Allen, Vice President and City Executive of BB&T in Dahlonega.  Prior to coming to BB&T he served as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors, Inc. and served in the US Army and Army Reserve.  He holds the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation and earned a BBA in Finance from North Georgia.

Gary Powers, President/CEO Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. Prior to coming to Dahlonega he held senior positions in hospitality and tourism organization.  With more than forty one years in resource and organization development, he has experience in both non-profit and profit where he has functioned as an executive, consultant, and volunteer.

Donna Gessell, Executive Director of Regional Engagement at North Georgia College & State University.  In this role she is involved in extending the academic outreach into the region through off-campus programs and service learning.

Careers in Accounting

Gene Gawthrop, Business Advisory Committee and Director of Communication Equity Associates.  In this role he advises senior management, assists with strategic planning and provides financial oversight. He has worked with cross border mergers and acquisitions and has expertise in accounting, corporate planning, financial planning, and tax planning.  He is a CPA and earned a bachelors degree in Business and a masters degree in Accounting.
 

Ann Williams, Business Advisory Committee and member of the Board of GB&T.  Her specialty is Public Accounting (tax and estate work).  She has served as a partner and worked in a “Big 8” firm.
