Mileposts Along the Road to Graduation for B.B.A. Students

Requirements that should be met while classified as a Freshman or Sophomore:
Earn a grade of C or better in ENGL 1101
Earn a grade of C or better in ENGL 1102
Complete Area A math that will allow you to meet prerequisites for higher level math courses
Pass the Regents Reading and Writing Exams
Satisfy the U.S. History requirement
Satisfy the U.S. Constitution requirement
Satisfy the Georgia History requirement
Satisfy the Georgia Constitution requirement
Complete Areas B - F
Taking MATH 2400 or MATH 2040 in Area D will leave you
some flexibility in terms of electives
Complete 3 semester hours of Communications (ENGL 2238 in Area F will work; but so will some other Speech or Communications course)
Complete 3 semester hours of Computer Applications or Information Systems (CSCI 1100 and CSCI 1150 in Area F will work; but so will some other Computer or Information Systems course)
Earn a grade of C or better in MATH 2400
Pass MATH 2040 (or higher level calculus)
Earn a grade of C or better in ACCT 2101, ACCT 2102, ECON 2105, and ECON 2106
Satisfy the Wellness/PE requirement (PHED 1000 or three hours of basic activity PE courses)
Requirements that are more likely to be met as a Junior or Senior:
Meet with your advisor and complete your official Plan of Study (must be done before you complete 90 semester hours)
Earn a C or better in any course that is prerequisite to upper division business courses that you plan to take
Earn a C or better in all major specific courses
Earn a C or better in BUSA 4995
Earn no more than one D in other upper division business courses
Earn credit for at least 30 semester hours from NGCSU
Earn credit for at least 12 semester hours in the major specific area of your Plan of Study from NGCSU
Earn more than 27 hours in the combined Common Professional Component and major specific courses from NGCSU
Take enough elective courses to bring your total hours to 120 semester hours (excluding Wellness/Activity PE hours)
Earn grades that result in at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point hours
Earn grades that result in at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average for coursework taken at NGCSU
Earn grades that result in at least a 2.0 average for the combined Common Professional Component and major specific courses
Do NOT earn D's in more than 25 percent of credits for graduation
Apply for Graduation (the semester before you plan to graduate)
Order your cap and gown
Turn in your request for tickets for graduation (if tickets are used the semester you graduate)
Order graduation announcements (optional)
Return all library books
Pay all outstanding bills owed to the university
Pick up your cap and gown from the Bookstore
Arrive for graduation according to instructions provided close to graduation (all graduates are expected to attend graduation)
