Dr. Chesnut is a native of Lumpkin, Georgia, site of Westville , a recreated working Georgia town of the 1850's. He has undergraduate degrees in Sociology, French, and Computer Science and Master's Degrees in Counseling and Psychological Services and in French. He did undergraduate work in French at Georgia State University. and Master's work in French at the University of Georgia in the Romance Languages Department. His Doctorate, also from the University of Georgia, is in Romance Languages with a major in French and a minor in German. His specialization is in twentieth-century French literature, poetry in particular. He is directing the North Georgia College & State University Quebec Program for summer 1998. Dr. Chesnut's hobbies include stained-glass, wood-working, and computing.
