meet across from the Air France (now Delta International) Airlines ticket counter
in the south terminal
no later than 9:30 a.m. Ms. Riedmiller plans to get there around
9:00.
- Be sure you go all the way down to
the end of the counter, near the end of the building, where the
economy passengers (like us) check in. Our travel professional will meet us
there with the airline tickets
and definitive travel itinerary.
- Have your passport and any other
travel documents you need ready. Also, have your
luggage tags filled out with the addresses of your host families (in case
our bags don't make the connection). You
should have one attached to your suitcase and one to your carry-on, and be
sure to keep your regular luggage tags for the return trip.
- DO NOT
LOCK YOUR SUITCASE unless you have a special lock that can be
opened by TRS!
- Normally, we register as a group as soon as everyone has
arrived, as long as everyone does so on time We also try to wait for
late arrivals, but sometimes Air France calls us to register before
those late-comers arrive. If you are running late, have your parents drop you off at the
curb with your luggage so you can come in and find us. We'll leave
someone at the check-in area to see you in.

**We collect our luggage and clear customs in
Atlanta. We then re-check the luggage for distribution at the baggage
claim area. Parents, family
members, and friends can meet us at the top of the big escalator that
exits the secured area.
Clearing customs usually takes 30-60 minutes, although current
security concerns may cause some delays.
