North Georgia offers a well-rounded program in piano with a variety of opportunities for aspiring performers. In addition to undergraduate degrees in music and music education, NGCSU is a recognized leader in the promotion of the performance of American piano music. The annual NGCSU All American Piano Celebration--now in its nineteenth year--has featured hundreds of guest performers from beginners to seasoned concert pianists.
The NGCSU piano faculty, Dr. Joe Chapman, Director of Keyboard Studies, and Dr. You Ju Lee are not only outstanding solo performers but are also caring and dedicated teachers with years of experience in guiding piano students to achieve their fullest potential. In addition to applied piano instruction, the faculty also offer courses in improvisation, piano literature, and piano pedagogy.
