Tim Keyser

Mr. Keyser studied Music Education at Tennessee Technological University and received his Bachelor in Music Education from Georgia State University. He received both his Masters and Educational Specialist degrees in Technology in Education from Lesley University. Mr. Keyser studied tuba with R. Winston Morris (Tennessee Tech University), Don Strand (Atlanta Ballet and Opera, Columbus Symphony Orchestra), and Michael Moore (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra).

Mr. Keyser has been a freelance musician and instructor in the Atlanta area since 1994. He has been a member of the 129th Army Band, Nashville, TN since 1993 and has performed throughout the United States and overseas. He has performed numerous times with the Peachtree Brass Quintet and was an original member of the Atlanta Brass Band, the Georgia Brass Band, and the Rialto Brass. Mr. Keyser served as principal tuba with the Dekalb Symphony Orchestra from 1994-2000 and has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Keyser has been an educator in the Forsyth County School System since 1998. He also served as the brass instructor for Georgia's Governor's Honors Program in Valdosta, GA in 2000 and 2001.

As a member of the music faculty at NGCSU Mr. Keyser teaches Applied Tuba and Euphonium, Music for Elementary Teachers, and is a member of the NGCSU Faculty Brass Quintet.
