Academic Academic CenterOur Volunteer Advisors are Accumulating Hours!!Thanks to 19 volunteer advisors, the Academic Advisement Center has just completed two full weeks of pre-registration, advising, and working with a total of 264 students. A questionnaire given to students after advisement proved that our advisors are doing a wonderful job. Students statements included "awesome," "answered all my questions," "very helpful," "friendly," and "knowledgeable". Advisement has a tremendous impact on students, and our advisors work hard to make that impact positive and lasting. According to Richard Light's Making the Most of College: "Advising is viewed as a way to connect students to the campus and help them feel that someone is looking out for them," and we agree. |
